MISSION
It is the mission of the department to add value to the popularity of the course by extending the frontiers of knowledge in such areas as investment banking, stock market trading, fintech and actuarial science. As time goes the department aims to integrate problem solving exercises into commerce teaching. A commerce graduate who would like to be a financial or business leader must be good at communication, human behaviour, economics and financial systems. The future holds good when we shall introduce PG in commerce and through add on and value-added extra inputs send complete individuals who will make a mark in the business of life.
VISION
The department aims to transmit the business of teaching commerce by creating a proper base in accounting and commerce taking into consideration the evolution of commerce as a discipline, particularly, in the present century. This is one subject which will never be antiquated by time though it may, keeping pace with technological advancements, diversify but the basic principles, particularly, remain the same. Most students coming to commerce would want to pursue higher studies in such courses as ACA, CMA, ACS, M.B.A and a few M.Com. So, we are duty bound to make teaching & learning a joyful experience. Much emphasis will be given to problem solving in accounts, interaction between faculty & students, entrepreneurial development and E-Commerce.
